The percentage of people who are free from religion are small, even though the majority of so called religious people who go to church, temple or mosque, are somewhat in doubt about all the stories which make up their religion. I for one have a problem with this ritual thing. Does one not go to heaven if one doesn't walk around like a Sikh with turban, dagger and all the other ornamentation. How about the Mennonites, will they go to hell if they don't wear the uniform, drive a car or have electricity in the house. Muslims may have to worry about their eternal life if they drink alcohol, eat pork or forget to pray facing east 5 times a day. Then there is this thing about heaven. Do we go there naked? How can we hear, see, touch, taste or feel once the electricity in our body is out and the brain is shut down like a dead car battery? We have been told about deities for centuries and have people have fought bitter wars about who is right and we are still watching people kill each other over fine points in religion. My father never left me anything and was not always a kind person but he gave me the choice, he allowed me freedom of and freedom from religion. How about you?
